Tales of Phantasia was the first of the ''Tales of...'' series, wich has grown out to become big in Japan. Tales of Phantasia was released for the Super Nintendo and the american version was playable on de old PlayStation (1). Europe didnt see the game untill it came out on the GBA many years later.

Tales of Phantasia is a big roleplayinggame or RPG for short. The story resolves around a swordfighting boy Cress and a healergirl Mint who get send back in time to stop Dhaos, who's treathning their time. There are a lot of moves to learn, and once mastered they can be combined to do more damage. The world is like a miniature where a huge sprite of yourself walks over, and when you reach a keypoint, for example a village, size proportions grow back to normal. Some might know this style of walking on the world from Final Fantasy 8.

(LMBS - Linear Motion Battle System)

Unlike FinalFantasy's turn based attackmode, this game has a Linear Motion Battle System.
You controle only the main character, making him walk towards enemies and using a button for sword fighting and a button to finnish your combo with a ''super'' move. You candecide what your other 3 characters will be doing by commands. So this way, you can fight your way trough hordes of monsters without even getting hit once, that is, IF you are good.

(Tales of Phantasia the Animé OVA)

This game has a huge story, as expected from one of the Tales of series. And like some ''Tales of...''-game, there excists an animé or OVA about our hero's fighting Dhaos, wich is drawn very nicely.

9/10 For HUUUUGE entertaining cool story ^^

Indeed it has, and after that battlefield part it only gets better, if you ever where to play again, keep heading as far north/east as possible Wink
